At the moment I have a 75 gallon tank with a 12 inch silver arowana, 2 convicts, small bichir, and an eclipse catfish. They will all be moved to a 125 gallon and eventually a 2-300 gallon tank once I get a bigger place. I would like some ideas. I wanna stay away from cichlids as I've owned most. I'm looking for something different. I was thinking about a few leaf fish or a needle nose gar, or a African knife fish or butterfly fish.Help me out

your 75 is gonna be small for what you have now, and the 125 might still be small, i'd wait untill you get some fish moved to the 125 before even thinking about adding more.
Butterfly fish African knife leaf fish will not mix well with an arrowanna. As was said get the bigger tank first.
I'm fully aware that my tank is too small to house these fish when big. All the fish are small even a 11 inch aro is fine in a 75 gallon for about 2 or even three years. I'm controling their growth.
I talked to a friend who owns a fish store and he recommended I get a spotted leaf fish cuz they will grow to about 6 inches and they swim in the middle of the tank so there should'nt be a problem with the aro. I believe that aros get a aggressive tag because of how big they get and how owners feed them. My aro has been housed with a 2 inch convict and other small fish that have grown with him and I've never had a problem. He only eats pellets and flakes and sometimes bloodoworms. He's healthy and very peaceful.
Yea i've been doing this hobby for 5 years now. I have a 125 gallon that they will go in but at the momment my landlord would only allow the 75 and nothing bigger.
