I'm fully aware that my tank is too small to house these fish when big. All the fish are small even a 11 inch aro is fine in a 75 gallon for about 2 or even three years. I'm controling their growth.

by "controlling their growth" what exactly do you mean, i've seen a lot of people think that stunting a fishes growth is fine to keep them in smaller tanks, but what's normally no understood is that their internal organs still grow and cause a lot of problems for the fish down the line, might not be what you meant, just wondering.

im just feeding him less so he doesnt out grow the 75 too quick. I know about stunting fish growth and I would never do that.

but in response to your original question if tank size was not an option, i think a knife fish would look cool with the group.

Thanks
most of the ppl aren't reading everything I'm posting cuz all the fish will be moved into 125 and then a 2-300 gallon

just tryin to look out, a lot of people say they are getting bigger tanks when they first start out and realize they take more work than it seems and never get a bigger tank, then some of us like me, get addicted and keep getting bigger tanks and can't stop.

lol thats what im doing with my new aro and ive been doing the same think with my oscars :D

I'm the i started with a 20 and I now have a 125 but can't set it up but I've started building the custom stand for it.

good luck with the stand, post some pics when you can. as far as stocking, with the aro, i'd stay away from any other top dwellers.
