The nail polish remover idea is a good one, if this was work (and i would do a test patch first to make sure it doesn't strip the finish or worse, the fumes can be a bit much so might wanna mask up and open a window) I hand you some 4 methyl ethyl ketone or MEK, you might have some if you have a good lazer printer.

I believe you mean marble. True marble would be metamorphosed limestone. It will react with acids. Granite dominantly composed of feldspars and quartz. Neither will react with acids.
this counter looks to be marble. Fairly porous material so you may be screwed on this one. i would try harsher solvents. Try mineral spirits to start. It’s likely the dye has worked it’s way into the crystalline structure of the rock though. This is a common practice within gift shops that sell colored crystals. The dye is often tough/impossible to remove.
id consider flipping it over and coughing up your mistake.
Hello; Several possible scenarios. The mom actually did for him. While very rare as most moms do not go to such an extreme. May be something less fatal such as take away all the electronics. Lets hope some of the suggested clean up strategies did not make things worse.
He may have run away from home.

I think we're jumping the gun here by assuming that his mom has maybe taken him out to the desert in the trunk of her car!
Maybe there's a more innocent and somewhat more plausible reason why he has vanished off the face of the earth!
Maybe his mom was sick to death of that boring cream/beige work surface and when she came home from work she was so truly bedazzled with the new look that she whisked him away on an all expenses paid vacation.
So let's leave it a another couple of days before we jump to any premature conclusions! Lol.
