oh ya, the credit is fish only, so thats another reason that i haven't invested in another tank. of course, i wouldn't have brought the fish to that place in the first place had i known that i was getting credit insted of cash. luckily, another store in my area will pay me cash, so i will be going there in the future the next time i have fry to sell.
If you want something available and unusual that would fit in a 10g with tetras, etc., and breed then how about some pygmy sunfish such as the everglades (Elassoma evergladei) or the Okefenokee pygmy sunfish (E. okefenokee). They only get about 1 1/2" long and thrive in a small well planted tank, especially if given blackworms and brine shrinp as well as mosquito larvae. They are nest garding egg layers and breed annually. You can get them through www.jonahsaquarium.com .Your money will buy a couple pairs including shipping. Same is true through the link Muckieman provided above. Great little fish.

If you are thinking of breeding plecos in a 10g, good luck....I believe they breed more easily in long dimension tanks filled with many hiding places(PVC piping) with a rough water current...For a 10g tank breeder, I'd go for the Rams....If not the Ram, there is always COnvicts....

This is store credit? We would need to know every fish and the prices of the store you have the credit at. Can they order things that they do not stock? Use the 70$ towards shipping to their store and order from a vendor here....Thats the best I can do for now...
this store will special order anything as long as they know that you are going to buy a few. they once ordered in like 30 betta imbellis for me because i was going to buy like 4 of them. and, thanks anyways, but giving me links to sites that sell fish doesn't help me at all, as the credit is only good for big al's, and i think that its only valid at this one store so........

If you want to send a little bit more over $80, then get a Betta Macrostoma. Very colorful wild bettas, but very hard to take care of. You could also try so exotic killifish. Personally I'm getting blue rams when I get my 10g in.
