Hi, I just came upon a 29 gallon tank and am in the process of setting it up. I was wondering what I could put in it that would be something out of the ordinary, something that you cannot find at a petstore, something special, something unique not common.

I dont care if there is 20 fish or two fish as long as they are interesting.

Someone hlep me out please.

something that you cannot find at a petstore, something special, something unique not common. Sounds like you might want some native fish. Where are you located? Of course since you do not want something found in a pet store this would mean that you would have to go out and collect it your self. Are you prepared to go wading in a creek and netting fish. Or go fishing several times trying to find this special fish. Or pay some locals to find this fish for you?
 
Agree on the natives, I'd go with some native killies, some are very attractive and not commonly kept

if you can find Mummichog they would be nice
Killifish are aggressive though
Brown Ghost Knifefish are nice, as are Peacock and Zebra Spiny Eels
 
Hmm what about 6 rare corys...and some rare tetras but The prehistoric fish is the best choice i'd say...I want one now.

i realy want one a lfs of mine used to have some in but cant find one near me now
