Hmm what about 6 rare corys...and some rare tetras but The prehistoric fish is the best choice i'd say...I want one now.

lol i agree i have some epmty tanks around the house...that is the first time i have seen one...they are very neat....hmmmm...so were do you pick these up @..any place you can order them?

i dont no i only know about them as a lfs had them in so dont no how rare they are

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I am located in Charlotte NC. Most of the native fish here get too big for my tank.

Not true! NC is overrun with beautiful shiners, darters, dace, sunfish, and killifish. See if your local library has a copy of "Fishes of North Carolina" or check out http://forum.nanfa.org/ for more info.

Noto is right, there is more there than you think, you've just probably never heard of them. Check out this link...

With that you can locate your watershed and it'll give you a list of the species that live in your area, I'm sure you'll find quite a few that make good aquarium fish. Also check out the NANFA link that Noto posted.
