Here's the situation: In the future, my plan is to turn my 75 gal into a freshwater, live planted, tropical tank.
For centerpiece fish, I would like Dwarf Gouramis and Sparkling Gouramis. I would also like GBRs. Maybe some Kribs? Would they all get along okay?
Then some Cories and either some Khuli loaches or Yoyo loaches, or both. How would those be together, and how many of each?
I would like to put in some schooling fish, but I am having trouble deciding. I like Tetras, Barbs, Danios, and Platies. I already have Platies in my 20 gal. tank. What do you all think? And please be specific with the types and numbers of each you choose. Ex. Rummynose Tetras, Cherry Barbs, etc.

I look forward to your suggestions.

paired up kribs might be too aggressive towards some of the others, but otherwise the list sounds fine. a somewhat larger, yet peaceful fish like festivums might look good, or even curviceps

I like hatchets too, but wouldn't mix with danios, since both are topwater fish, but the danios are too active and boisterous and that will probably stress the hatchets

IME curviceps are a bit more aggressive than other acaras.
i like you list, sounds good to me, with the caution from Cich. Anon. but hey , what tank doesnt have its risks...

i would love to recommend severums but i feel they would get to big and aggres for the smaller gouramis.
but some nice mid-size schooling fish like Telmatherina Ladigesi. i think they are gorgeous. Also Gasteropelecus sternicla makes a nice fish along with tetras

of the dwarf acaras, I would still consider curviceps pretty safe, especially compared to other small acaras like Bujurquina. If not just go with keyholes instead

Kribs are not a good idea?
I am not familiar with these other fish you are mentioning. I just looked them up, but I'm still unsure. Festivums look like they get pretty big. Curviceps and Bujurquina look interesting but don't look very colorful. Maybe the pics I was looking at weren't that good.

Small fish, but good tank idea!
Iv'e always wanted a 30 gallon pure danio tank

load up on cories.. a bunch of congo tetras.. platties are nice enough.. a bunch of otocinclus (get whatever you can find.. i love these lil suckers).. khuli loaches pretty rad just be sure to keep them out of yer filtration..

imo every tank that can have a pleco should just because i like them.. dont go getting a big bulldozer or anything.. something that tops out at like 5" or so
