But in all honesty get rosy barbs. They are active, colorful and peaceful. They get to about 4 inches though, some say 6 inches. They readily breed and you could get more for free, if there are enough plants. There are a few varieties of them. I used to have some clear yellow ones with green dots along the top, and red fins. The eyes are blue.
