Help Me Stock My Future 65

My mom has a 65g tank ready for me as soon as I get a good report card the dimensions are 36x18x25 and I want to stalk it with some type of breeding south american cichlid. I dont want them to be super easy breeders and Im not into JD's, Firemouth, or Convicts, so give me some ideas please.

I dont think you could keep two GT's in a 65g tall thats only 3 feet long
