I have a couple bristle nose plecos in the tank with my female festae, they are the normal brown variety, and she leaves them alone at this point, because they are too big to eat so far.
Although I do also use Tilapines as dither/targets for the festae, as they are fast, and their instinct keeps them out of the festae's way.
I find festae leave any non cichlids alone that they can't easily swallow.
