Help me tell the sex of my CA and SA cichlids!

dovii sexually mature at like 3". yours has:
- no dots on the gills or pelvic fins
- round dorsal/anal fins
it is a female
I've raised it for a month or twos now, but I ordered a male dovii. I got scammed then.
The gender differences in the genus Herichthys are also quite obvoius
Above are 2 femal Herichthys carpintus, note the dark are in the dorsal, and slope of the crainal profile.
Below a male, lack of dark color in the dorsal, and steeper crainial profile
Even as 1¨juvies the profile difference in males as females is apparent
I find the crainial profile is obvious in other Herichthys

Mesoheros festae cranium differences can also be dramatic

The genus Amatitlania and their related genera can also is have cranial slope differences
