  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How r u cleaning the filters? Are u running all the filter media directly with tap water? If so this can kill all the bacteria. There has to be some or 1 of the three around. What kind of test kit do u have? Liquid test? Or strip?

Waters fine

Not picking on you, just using your answer as an example of what we see all the time.
Either the OP lists his water as being "perfect" or lists his water parameters at all 0`s.
Well heck, we know that is not "perfect" nor even right.
As said, your testing is flawed.
You just have to show something.
Go over your testing procedure again.

You should be showing Nitrate.

You need to shake up the test solutions and retest your water. Even if purchased new it has been sitting on a shelf for some time and has settled out.
If this is an API test kit it is imperative to shake/tap/shake (for several minutes) the #2 Nitrate test solution bottle very well or you will get zero readings.

ok i will do it again...sorry if im botherin any1 lol just want my water to be good....waterchange is every sunday about 10-15 gallons

you guys wer right i wasnt doing the nitrate right... it says i have 40ppm of it...0 nitirite 0 amonia and ph im adjusting now....is that good water?

i like to keep my nitrate lower than that but theyll be fine short term
if i were you id either do a larger water change weekly or do that water change 2x weekly

Mikey:
There we go! I wouldn't let it go over 40ppm at the most. I'd amp up the WC's just more gallons at a time personally. Your going to have to do something with the fish though sooner or later 2 Oscars and a RTC will be REAL HIGH with nitrates no matter what WC's you do.

^^ thanks guys... i have 1 oscar and 2 rtc now i gave a oscar away lol ill up my water changes and the amount of water... ill be bak if anything goes wrong haha
