Please go to petsmart, or petco, test water, post. Lets go from there.

First of all, i'm not american. Second f all, I get my water tested ar my local pet shop almost every week. Unfortunately it's a very basic test kit (no specific readings) just low, medium and high :

Unfortunately again, my other ram died last night :'(

And good pint on not getting new fish or whatever until i have a test kit.
