Oh ok didnt know you could pellet train them is it to settle there aggression or just to help with there diet?i was thinking of just one at the start for a couple of weeks to see how it goes and how it settles in because im going to have to pay a fair bit to get one because of freight etc.but once in a better position would like to have 3to4 would this be to many?

Pellet training will improve there diet and you will get faster growth from your fish, Its cheaper as well! You can still feed them prawns, muscles, fish etc as a treat.

Would it be cheaper purchasing 2-4 as your then only paying freight the once?!

Ive found with Cichla they do better in groups of 4 +. You can mix the different speices with no problems.
 
I was thinking just the one just to get use to it for abit and see how he acts and wat his characteristics are like then that will give me time to sell my other cichlids then put that money towards 3 more bass,frieght is only about 10,15 bucks on top so its not to expensive,just everyday living is getting dearer :/ very keen and excited on trying them out im getting abit over malawi and tanganiykans.

I notice you have a 180l tank. Cichla will out grow this within 3-4 months. Your going to need 800l minimum.
Just something to look into before you buy.
 
Definately going to upgrade,will have a bigger tank by that time for sure:)
