I would add some styrofoam between the stand and the tank...

Get a sheet of styrofoam 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick and place it between the tank and the stand. The styrofoam will fill the gaps and cushion the tank.

i would have thought that most people would use styrofoam under their tank anyway......
