HELP! My black aro is sick I think!!

All of a sudden my black aro is letting his tail fall, his fins look extra raggedy, and he has some white slimy spots on his body. He is not looking good and I don't know why because my tank is healthy.

Tank parameters:

Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 10 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm
ph: 7.2

Somebody help please!

I'm thinking 50% water change, add salt (how much??), and maybe add melafix??

yes, do a huge WC, then add some melafix and salt. raise your temp as well.

How much salt per gallon do I add?? Temp is already at 82, go higher?

raise ur temp. n water change.. also prime n nox ich.. do you feed your arowana feeders? nayws for the salt its 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons.

For now I would bump temp to 84-85 degrees add one tablespoon salt per 5 gallons water. Start researching as I would think this would need some meds.

Thanks guys! I am doing a 50% water change now and I will bump temp and add salt when I'm refilling. Does everyone concur that I should use some melafix too??

Just use the salt and see what happends.. after the WC and salt everything should be good. btw what you feeding the aro?

Hikari Floating Pellets, and occassionally bloodworms. I've been trying to powerfeed, could this be playing some part in its health?
