Mine eat pretty well. So I dont see any problems had them for 8 months no issues. Eat at every feeding
They've no choice, do they? And they're not doing well as one is already sick. Corydoras live for many years so 8 months is just a glimpse of life. They have evolved to eat the way they eat, by sifting through sand.......so it is a bit of a big deal if they're not kept in a sand tank the least, whatever about the rest of conditions. Of course, if provided with sub-optimal conditions, they'll live on until they can't any further.
Gravel traps uneaten rotting food and is probably the source of the problem with the little cory. They can damage their barbels/mouth and the infection sets in from there.
