Help my discus not eating.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All the discus are eating now. Not good colours at all of the big blues. Some are still breathing heavy. One big blue is now breathing normal with one gill but heavily with the other one. Could this be because of fighting between the two big blues? or what?
The other big blue with that was dong white feces is not doing white feces now but black. The small blue is doing white and small feces, previously it was doing only white. One little orange one has pushed the other orange one in the corner, and is chasing it when ever it sees it.

Here are some of the pics of water changes and the discus.

Clamped fins, bacterial infections, missing scales, white stringy poo, irregular breathing is not good. This is a sign of sick fish. Aside from this, it sounds like the fighting is because maybe theres too many males or something. It depends what kinda fighting you see. Some chasing and nipping is pretty normal, this is how they socialize and once the pecking order has been established you will see less fighting.

But the main thing here is to treat the sick fish. You probably should treat the whole tank for parasites. Im guessing they got flukes and/or internal parasites. DO a good gravel vac/water change, then treat them with medicine. If you are worried about your plants, move them to a holding tank or something.

You are also pretty overstocked. 1st of all, multiple black ghosts knifes almost always dont get along, they may appear like it when they are young but it changes. Plus a 75 gallon is only sufficient for 1 BGK when older. Theres also soem other fish you could adjust, but its up to you if you wanna change it around.

They might be sick but they are not afraid. They eat infront of me and do not hide. The two nig blues also approach me. What type of discus are they? I am doing the medication. Looks like I have to clean the gravel and tank. I am trying to give away some of the fish.
