I recommend doing that.

I wouldve just taken the male out and put him in the hospital tank.

I'm pretty sure the female wouldn't have made a meal out of those fry like the male just did or plans on doing.

The male isn't bothering the fry, and the fry were having an all you can eat buffet out of the mom so I had no choice but to move her. The father has become more protective pic the fry after I took out the mother, so no the male is fine with the fry for now.

She is still alive today but she is upside down at the bottom of the tank, her breathing has slowed back to normal.don't know if there is really much I can do but wait it out and see.uploadfromtaptalk1391541160402.jpg

sad. aside from her external marks, that male is large & probably rammed her causing internal damages.
 
from the looks of it =_= I really don't think she gonna make it....well now it just up to you to try and save her or help her go quickly so she doesnt suffer
 
She didn't make it:( but I do have over 200 of there fry, so I'm going to grow them out and acquire another pair. This really sucks, I've had them for about a year and they have spawned several times for me. They had fry in the tank with them when this all went down and I've not seen them being aggressive when there are fry with them before. I guess in the future I'll have to put in the divider as soon as they are finished spawning.
