HELP!!! MY FISH IS GOING TO DIE!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
so i got the 55, but its not cycled yet, i am wondering how long it'll take, i put the fh in at first, but took it back out as it seemed he didnt like the water conditions of the tank yet, btw, he looks so lonely in that huge tank >.>

Even if your tank is cycled, a lot of FH out there would look like as if he/she didn't like the tank due to the fact that it is very new. It needs to settle down whether it is cycled or not.

Woah woah woah, thread is going up on fire! Look, cycled or not. At least have your tank water aged. FH is not for beginner, but it is not as hard as EBJD(Electric Blue Jack Dempsey) either. I understand that your 55 is not cycled. But don't be scare if it isn't cycle, just let your FH sit in that tank it is in for 2 days and let that 55 gallon tank water aged. It is a wise idea to set up heaters to warm up the water so you don't have to wait any further, and set up the filter also to remove any chemicals left in the tank. Cut a strip of the dirty filter and drop it inside your filter. This can cycle your tank quite faster if needed. But get your water to age at least.
Get your tank set up and get it moving as fast as possible. Don't wait for anything...nothing much to worry too much about.

I drink the same water as you do and never had a problem with acidity in my tanks water. However, I always keep driftwood in my tanks. But, I also do not have a FH which is much more likely to succumb to little changes in water quality.
