help my florida gar!!!

Wait!!!! I knew I wasn't wrong! I tested the pH from my tap through my filter that I use to fill the buckets for my water changes and the pH is around 7.4 what should I do? A 100% water Change? Get my pH back to normal fast or what shall I do? Help! Why is my pH so low? I read online it said rotting food and dead fish can lower pH I have been feeding my fish a lot of flakes maybe to much and I think a feeder died but I didn't remove it I just thought the cow ate it kuz it disappeared but maybe that can be the problem?

OMG I'm doing the after change and now the gar jumped out and he fell on the ground I put him in a barrel of fresh water and he just stayed all having a seizure :/ OMG!!
