Help My Flower Horn!

Hi Guys,

I just bought this new flower horn from a guy near bye. He's had him for 2 years. He was fine for the first week but now his lips are starting to puff out and his head is getting all beat up. First I thought he must be banging in to things, but I'm watching him and its getting worse and worse and he's staying in the same spot. PLEASE HELP!

Until someone gives you better advice for now all I can say is bump the temp up as high as you can, add salt to the tank, and do a 50% water change. I don't know whats going on with the head but I don't know it has duck lips which is deadly unless treated.

Pretty sure thats hole in the head but ive never had a fish with this so im not sure

Thats what you need to do, and bump the temp to atleast 86

It's already pretty warm...around 83-84, ill bump it to 85 though.

Get it as high as you can, unless you can get it in the 90's lol but the high 80's is the best temp for fast healing

How often did you do water changes before this happened? The tank looks really cloudy in the pic.
