That sucks. Don't beat yourself up over it, it sounds like you did your best and that's all you could do.
 
you did the best you could, i know little about aros but i read about this fish from the start.
I think you did a great job, take it as a lesson in the positive sense, not negative.

Sorry for your loss. Understanding how to properly keep healthy baby aros is in order before trying to resue a sick one. Silver aros of that size should be kept without any tankmates. There are only a very select few fish you should even possibly consider as tankmates.

I'm sure the erratic behavior of the balas most likely lead to the aros death. Not to mention the lack of quarentining.
 
sorry for your loss,at least it lived longer then it would have at the shop,it was lucky to meet you so you can help cure it.he knows your a nice guy and did your best =(
