I believe what we get here are odorus ants, yours I imagine are the same.
Never heard the name but could be,the little black ones.We get the bigger ones that come out of the trees in the spring, they can give a good bite but they dont come in droves like the little ones.

just leave the ants alone. they will enjoys your kindness and will repay you with their super powers

Where would this thread be without your input?

Bait them outside with what they like . When they've swarmed it, kill them and follow the trail back to their nest and nuke them with ant spray!

That is what I do. Find where they are coming from and "cut off the head of the snake". If you take out the nest you should be ant-free for a couple of months.

I usually put a bowl of water and sugar outside.. they climp up, goes for a drink, slips and then they drown.. perfect..

go to a farm and ranch feed store buy a bag of "kill a bug" stronger than home depot or loews sells. it is granular.

We get that here in Texas when it rains, or gets cold. I just poke them with my finger, one at a time.

Ortho Home Defense MAX with the sprayer worked for me though.

ditto, Home Defense every 2wks or so this summer worked for us. also, can sprinkle fine oatmeal (& add borax as an option) - as they consume & carry back to the nest they will bloat or dry out. the queen will be one bloated momma!

Thanks for the advice folks, keep em coming.
