HELP!!! My new Flowerhorn is peeling!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The only type of feeders I would suggest is ones you have bred, raised, and fed yourself. For the most part, it is better for the fish you have to eat the pellets so your Red Devil should be fine. The only other thing I would suggest is mix it up with some frozen bloodworms, shrimp, etc. for a more balanced diet.

Setting up visual barriers in your tank can sometimes help ease aggression, but not always. What size of a tank do you have all these guys in?

In regards to temp, as long as their isn't a huge fluctuation in the degrees it is fine. (The temps you posted sound fine) One last thing, when you say the LEDs turn on after midnight, are you saying that the fish are never in darkness?

Cool, Thanks for the suggestion. I have a 30g tank which is currently empty, so I will use it to breed the feeders. How do I start them though? Do I buy several feeders and hope that they reproduce or are there effective techniques into raising feeders?

I have them in a 155g (pictured on the first post of this thread).

The LEDs simulate moon light, so they are on during "their" night. This is very dark as it is only a bit of light that makes it to the bottom, but no, they're never in complete darkness. I will take a picture tonight while the LEDs are on and post it in the morning.

Thanks again!

Guppies or convicts...take your choice.
