Id keep it now in a bare tank with wet paper towels as a substrate to keep things clean and as simple as possible, change water everyday. heard you can try antibacterial meds that work for fish, but id research that first.hope all goes well and gets back to its best soon
Neosporin ointment is supposed to help with ulcers on frogs but I have never tried it myself. The most common recomdation is swabbing the wound a couple times a day with hydrogen peroxide and keeping the enclosure very clean.
thank you for the helpful responses. i do believe now that the sore can be healed, but it appears to be the least of my worries, i believe i am dealing with an impaction aswell. he has in the past only been eating mice and fish, but recently i added a marbled gecko and three day geckos to the mix, just for some activity, i did not care if one was eaten or even all of them. from that, i had to start feeding crickets, and i believe he has been eating them along with eating the substrate. the substrate is coco peat reptile bark, the type u buy in bricks and add to water. i assume it is not good if eaten. is surgery the only option?
Is the frog eating now? I would try to feed some liquidised food if you can. Gutload your feederson banana for fibre aswell.If the frog isn't eating, prise the mouth open with a blund edged object, such as a credit card, and put the food behind the tongue. Then release and he should swallow. Try praying dechlorinated water into the mouth aswell, its could help move things along.
The best method i've come across for impaction is what i did when my turtle ate some gravel. Let the animal soak in warm (not hot) water for 15 minute intervals throughout the day. It aids bowel movement. Good luck.

damn man.. this sounds pretty bad.. i would think the sore is from sitting in one spt for days on end without moving, which means that spot had to of had lots of bacteria.... i would say that surgery is the only option if he has eaten that bricked up substrate
I would find a vet in your area that deals with herps and take it in, that definitely doesn't look good
thank you again for all of your concerns and ideas, i tried many of them, but it was too late.. he passed away april 30th during one of his baths. he was just too far gone, i wish i could have done more, i would have paid for the surgery, but he didnt even give me time to set an appointment. i will miss him. there is a new beginning though, about 2 months ago i bought another one, it's albino. i was hoping i had picked a female, the plan was to eventually try breeding them. i did take her off the soil as well, and once on paper towell i realized how much substrate she had been eating, her fecal matter is over half substrate. atleast she passed it and i will not make the same mistake again, so my big guy, saved my little girl.
