Kosher salt is usually considerably cheaper and it comes in 3 lbs packages. It also dissolves much more easily (due to the fine grains) than the expensive aquarium salt. Make sure to dissolve it in a bucket first, as the solid form of the salt can burn a ray's disc!
where did you get the ray from? are you sure its eye was damaged? What is it doing? is it eating?
I got 1 a few weeks ago and his eye was real droopy and was only breathing out of one side, maybe it is something else besides damage?
