A payara (scomb). It was brutal... gutted with one bite.

I think I'm all good. When I got home from work he was swimming normally....even ate. His fins are rough around the edges and one of his eyes is a little cloudy on the bottom, but outside of that he looks normal.
This is one tough ass fish. By being such a survivor, he has moved up on my list of favorites. Check it out...this is how he looks now.

yeah.. the best way to revive any jumper is the way spill did it plus some...

move water over the gills (fishy CPR)

after they begin to breath on thier own let them go, holding on to them causes stress

oxygenate the water well

warm up the water and add salt to induce the slime coat and help them heal

leave the lights off and reduce all possible stress

and hope for the best

First pic is scary but midas/rd's are usually super hardy so he should be fine. Add some salt for that eye though.
