She uses it but not all the time. I have not been able to watch her too much but she might not be swimming as much as she used to. Still eats like a pig!

I think it might be a little swollen too still...not sure...hard to look with out her trying to take my finger off.

I am soo sad about this!

Dont be you need however to be more pacient, it takes time for animal to recuperate from this kind of thing. I wached your pic and it doesant seems worse. Its just a bit painfull wich isnt surprizing. Give her time:D She aint gonna lose her leg;)

Well yall I dont know now...I think I will be going to the vet today. It had not gotten worse than the last pic I posted....it just had a spot that turned white....not a fungus white but like a loss of pigment white. She was starting to use her hand more and more...still eating very good. Then my daughter got sick and I got tied up with her and didnt look at the turtle for a day. Well when I looked this morning this is what I see...the flesh has ruptured. So give it to me straight...is the vet going to want to amputate...can something like this heal?? I am so sad about this...so stupid to have that fishing line in there...

I dunno. Sorry about that mate =(

Hopefully the vet can help!

that looks infected.

Off to the vet with you! In all seriousness, take it to the vet and the turt should be fine. They'll hit it up with some antibiotics. For future reference, whenever my turt gets what could even be a cut, I bulk up on the H2O changes and treat the area with neosporin a couple of times a day.

Yes, definitely get to a vet with some herp experience, thats the only way to get a solid answer on what needs to be done. In that last pic the flesh around that one nail looks like its starting to necrotize.

I will be calling a herp vet today...wife is going to have to to take it in tho...I just got back to work this week and I cant leave again. Yay....

Good luck! Hope for the best, and keep us informed.
