any thing else you can feed them those gold fish could of done it but hows the water are you adding salt it looks kind of dirty how many fish do you have in that tank i hope thay get better which one died was it the realy fat one but it might be bloat if so try some epson salt it helps with that

just a note on epsom salts for knives. knives are very sensitive to epsom salts because of their lack of scales. pl be careful.

besides that, I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you'll get a new baby clown to raise once the ordeal is over :)

Update: Sadly my royal died:( This whole thing has been really horrible. I am treating my other tank with antibiotics as a precaution. I got my feeder fish from a LFS. I started breeding convicts for a while to feed my guys instead but it did not go well as the convicts kept killing each other. My remaining two clown knives both eat dry food so hopefully I have seen the last of this disease. Thanks so much for your emails and updates.

Oh dear! I'm so sorry for your painful loss again! Chin up as our thoughts are with you too. Take good care of your remaining clowns ... write to us again when soon. We would love to hear more about your clowns in the future :)

I just saw the pics of your clown knife and I immediately think I know the cause. The problem is your tank doesn't have the width for it to maneuver. The result is a combination of stress and continuous growth with sprain problem. You should transfer the remaining CK to a wider tank immediately.
