ok thanks will try that

ya i keep cons and severums 2gether and wen the cons started breeding they wudnt stop attacking the severums and they got stressed and got ich
i caught it early n it was gone in 3 days
only fish ive ever lost with it was an angel, and it got over the ich and a week later it just died
part of that was just low quality strain tho also

good luck w/ the sevs

Well heres a little update....... I kept doing water changes and the temp now is 76. The severums has no more signs of ick thanks god! But I lost my lepronius and Sydontis eurptis in the process.

still keep the treatment going to kill the free-swimming stage of ich, also, the temp should be mid/low 80's for it to work faster

Hi there.. I keep my sevs 125 gallon tank at 82. They love it as do the koi angel and bns etc. May just be luck but since I had discus and kept thoer tanks at 83, I've always kept all my tanks a little bit higher than normal lfs temps and Knock on wood.. so far I've never had a case of ick.. I think you should try raising your temp permanently. Check to see if the other companion fish can handle higher temps and if so slowly raise it up a bit. Good luck Sue

I keep my sev tank around 84, did have an ich outbreak and used the salt and high heat program and it worked to perfection. Do you have them in with anything else, do you feed live food? The low temp was almost certainly ur problem, probstressed the sev out big time.
