sounds like it had an ammonia spin going on, one time i harvested thousands of little bass and had them in a big tank, the ammonia got high and all of them started whirling around in circles all over the show. i ran new water in and they came good within five minutes. ammonia does weird stuff to fish and if you get onto it early they can come good quickly as long as other problems havent kicked in.

well i moved him and my two pbass to my 55 hospital tank and put some extra salt some stress coat and stress zyme and it only took about 15 minutes for him to level out and start swimming again but hes still alittle disoriented but not bad hes lookin good ill post a pic
