Hi all, this whole incident happen since last sat. Sat is my no feeding day on the last sat I got a 10" male motoro from a friend of mine, he did perform feeding in front of me. So the usual acclimatising and the ray is safely into the tank with another 5 others motoro. To my surprise  on sunday(yesterday) all the rays stopped eating till now. So for those 5 ray 12-15" they haven't eat anything since last friday. I've tried mp, filtet etc, stuff they ususlly can't resist except feeders. This is the 1st time I experience this and I'm extremely worried about it.

I've did a 20% WC and another 15%WC this evening.. The water parameter seems alright. Ph maintained at 6.75, nitrate 60ppm..

Any ray expert can advise me on this? Could the ray be sick? Something wrong with the water parameter? :nilly::nilly::nilly:

weird... i agree with colin try nightcrawlers etc... good luck

Yeah very weird indeed. 1st time I encounter such problem too. I'm going to try ghost shrimps later.. Hope they will start eating..

Try a 50% water change too - 60ppm nitrates is a little high, so a large water change might entice them to eat.

60PPM IS NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP THEM FROM EATING. MOST RAY OWNERS HAVE EVEN A HIGHER NITRATE READING THAN THAT.

I agree with this. Good news, i just put in some ghost shrimps and they started eating some of them. However, they appear very lethagic.. Just ate a bit..:irked:

Believe it or not I would not worry to much about this, My rays do the same thing to me every few months they will eat nothing or very little for a week or longer. I just attempt to feed and if they dont eat remove all food and skip a day and try again. If it lasts longer then two weeks I would start to worry.

Mine did the same from time to time. Don't worry.
Live foods like ghost shrimp and earthworms tend to get them going.

What temp are you keeping them at?
