HELP Needed - 300 gallon Acrylic Scratch Removal/Buffing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
BTW: any advice on rinsing the tank out after using the novus products?

Yesterday I filled it with tap and washed/scrubbed/wiped the insides with a microfiber towel.

Today: I drained and refilled and will wipe with MF towel again.

Tomorrow: will repeat a third time.

That should be good enough? Right?

Thanks,
Russ

Thanks so much for all the help everyone. I brought the tank down to the basement and started setting it up. Very please how the buffing/polishing project worked. I would definitely refinish another acrylic tank if I needed to.

Love the rocks on the left, where did you get them?

I do too!!! Wish I would have picked more up. They are called "Arkansas Fieldstone Full" and I picked them up at a Masonry Supply shop in Northern Indiana (Warsaw, IN). I think I will swap out the rocks in the center once I pick some more up.

Hey guys, I was just referring another fish friend who is looking to buy a used acrylic tank to this thread. Just thought I'd update it since I was here....

Tank is still doing great and I have been very pleased with the purchase and the buff/polish job. Would definitely do it again.

Here's a few pics...

FTS (I need to retake this shot without the glare/reflections)

Nice! You did a really good job...fish look like they are floating, the acrylic and water are so clear.

That fieldstone is amazing looking rock...the texture and variation in it give it a lot of depth.

Fish look really healthy too. Thanks for sharing the pix.
