Help needed for a cichlid tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Things like dovii, festae and jags get big enough to where your front to back length is too small for them. Like I said, we have "small" tanks that can't keep all the fish we want ='(

U could get a Cuban, it's like a jag but stays smaller or maybe a grammode (mini dovii) slow growers. Dwarf pikes are cool too

Okay, I guess my choices are limited to Convicts, Sajica and JD. Would there be anything else, may be Green Terror or Mayan?

Beleive GT could work but there may be those who disagree. Can't say for the Mayan, I don't know much about them. There are other cichlids that could work but aren't listed here. I'd suggest continue to research and find what you like since you have time before you'd like to move your FH out.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. Just checked out Cubans and Grammodes. Both look fantastic, so two more to the list.

Buphy Buphy you are absolutely right .. we have "small" tanks that can't keep all the fish we want. Too bad :(

Always a work in progress. It has to wait but my next tank will be either a 75 (if we stay in a small apartment) or a 125 (if we choose a house). For now I have to work with my 37 and 55 gallons.
