How you can find out the problem with it!

Free BUMP

Yeah still very puzzle with the ray.. Now i'm tryin to feed it with tubiflex worms.. From what I observe, it will jump onto the worms.. After a while moving away leaving most of the tubiflex worms intact.. =( Can't even be sure whether it is eating.

i'm having the same prob. i have a 20cm female motoro housed in a 90 @ 78C, ph=7 (i do freq WCs). tankmates are jardini, ST, spiny monster and cactus pleco. they leave the ray alone. she's really active and only eats bloodworms, i tried earthworms (of all sizes) but she only mouths them and spits out.

the tail bones are showing and i'm pretty concerned. i need to feed something more substantial than BWs.

You can chop the earthworms and feed mixed with bloodworms. Works for me. Mine eat shrimp like crazy too, I just chop the shrimp as well. At all times I have 2-3 types of food in the tank for them to choose from.

Good luck Max.

Earth Worms (Canadian Night crawlers) have been a crowd favorite in my tanks... if I have a difficult ray just add a couple of those guys and WHAMO...

might not work in your case since it seems like there is something else with this guy since he's not eatting still after all this time... Could also try some beef heart... That was the key with my Flower ray

Beef heart? Isn't that one of the big no, nos because of the hormone factor? I'm glad it worked for you.

Any pics of the Flower eating beef heart?

It's used Sparingly The Flower has only been offered it twice in 3 weeks... Went to town both times, Other than that it's Earthworms for one meal and Bloodworms/krill/brine shrimp or Shrimp for the second meal

Should I decide to feed The Beefheart again I'll record it for you... if it's of that much interest

i gonna try turnin the worms into a paste. the ray mouths the small worm chunks and spits them out. is it becuz it can sense the worm has been processed by me? i tried every size, cleaning method, mixing w/ other foods. i'm pretty damn concerned, all i know is that i've been keeping up w/ the waterchanges and it doodies a lot

Hi all, I suspect that the ray is suffering from internal parasit. However, locally i've yet to see any LFS selling prazi bath. Is there any alternative that can be used to treat internal parasite? Pls help...
