Help needed in ID of these polys!

i finally got my pbb from a friend of mine! hope they settle in well!


They are 22" & 23"







He mentioned that one of them is a chad pbb and the other he couldnt really remember

i am really interested in getting a Polypterus Bichir Bichir, but am not so sure on how to differentiate them from the Polypterus Lapradei, any tips on how to tell the two apart distinctly? because the price range can differ quite alot haha

This is a great question. I almost thought the first pic was a PBB cause of the prominent, crisp markings on the head, but I don't think they are racing stripes. I have trouble telling the PBB apart from some of the fancier laps with PBB.

So, I will say it is a Nigerian Lap cause I've heard Polyaddict86 use that phrase a lot in other threads.
