Are many cichlids top swimmers?

Not that I know of. Butterfly fish are closest to an aro you will get (same family)

Closer to 10 apparently. Not sure if it's a good idea to cram it

Apollo shark looks amazing! Just have to try and find it here in Aus.. doesnt seem to be listed around

if you really want to enjoy hatchet fish or butterfly fish I would suggest filling up your tank half way and getting a secure lid. Their "wings" aren't just for decoration. One of my favorite fish. The only small flying fish out there I'm aware of.
