Local shop has a Redspotted Aro, hes about 3 to 4in., a couple of weeks ago i was in there and he was calm, moving around at a healthy speed even follow my finger around a little, i said to my self i have to have him!! so i go there this weekend to buy a tank setup and see if they still have him,, well he was zipping back and forth like he was on meth, way in the back on the bottom of the tank, nothing in the tank but him. i open the lid to look down on him and he jump out about 12in. and i was lucky he landed right back in, scared the **** right out of me:ROFL:

75gal. and yes ive done my homework here and know that i need a bigger tank, already shopping for one but i got the 75 to start and it will be the family tank when i get my bigger one, or maybe salt

HAO, it does look like that one, seeing it as a younger one, i will be going back to the store tomorrow cause the victs are not eating the pellets they sold me, so i will try to get pic.

:thumbsup:Good stuff, I like it when people do their homework first. If what you saw was a jardini, you might have a few problems with tankmates in the future. In most cases, jars tend to be agressive and are generally kept in its own tank, isolated from any tankmates. It seems like its acting normal, the jumping is also normal. When spooked, they will jump, and they seem to be able to jump out of the smallest holes in your lid, so make sure your lid is held down securely.

yeh ive read about the jumping and have a glass top, the top kit came with plastic ends for the back so i could trim around the filter so i have no holes up top. turn out nice,
they gave me sponge out of one off there setups when i got the victs today to help with the cycling and between the food and i think the sponge they gave me my tank is all cloudy and has me bummed right now, they told me to put it in my filter, is that right?
