That aside:
What are your water conditions like? specificly ammonia and Nitrates. Also please add details of filtration and exactly what it is you are feeding the fish. Lets see if we can't find the cause for your fishes distress and fix it.
Not retarded at all, it's obvious there is a problem, but my point was it's semi normal for a nervous gar to spaz out if triggered by aggressive or highly active tankmates.
It happened to my gar 3 times. Gar was healthy, water was fine, it was caused only by stress from tankmates, and I ended up having to keep him more or less alone.
If that's a florida gar it's extremely stressed, I've never seen a florida that looked like that.
