Help! New Grass Pickerel won't eat.

Someone locally has two 9" specimens for sell, I'm very tempted to get them in start a native tank.


Can they be trained to take pellets or just live with these guys?

Thanks for all the help. The fish is doing good and acting calm and at home. He has started to eat looks healthy. I have added a 36" floating plant for top cover to hide in. I have also lowered the water temp. Here are a few pictures of the added cover.
