HELP Nitrite problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I want to thank everyone for their help. It's nice to know that there are people who can help when you need it.

Be sure the B-S is being kept in their refrigerator. Do a large WC & add directly to your filter.

you probably need something to remove chloramine, a chlorine filter wont do it.
you can call your local water treatment plant and ask if they put chloramine in the water.
also, if you have a chlorine filter on your tap it probably needs to be changed/serviced regularly.

This should tell you how bad this area is. We have one, did you catch that, ONE LFS and one chain store. We have a Walmart too, but that doesn't count. No one has Bio-Spira. I was told we don't carry it because it has to be refridgerated. WOW

If you have friends with tanks, ask them to clean their filters out in a bucket with water from a water change. Dump that nasty stuff in your tank and it will actually help your filter. It's better than Bio Spira because it's free IMO:D
