Help! Not sure if ick...

Prevention is key, if your water is still dirty, throwing in meds will make it worse, the fish are under a lot of stress atm, only wc and salt will prevail. Ick meds can take down a whole establish tank

Water is clean and the meds that were in it should be diluted, I did a 50% water change as suggested by someone above. Unfortunately the fish had ick when I brought them home because this specific tank has been running for about 2 years with no ick issues till now...

Well if you put fish in your tank that had ick then I guess you realise your mistake. Always have a backup hospital/quarentine tank handy! Lfs 1$/gal sale.

If you use malachite green or any med to treat ick, avoid adding salt as it may only reduce the efficacy and effectiveness of the medicine.
