Help on dimensions for my oscars tank

The only cichlids I know of that utilize height than width/length are angels and discus, maybe festivum.
G Galantspeedz what is your reasoning for saying FH's don't need much space? Just because lots of people cramp them into bare tiny tanks and they don't die?

Just your last sentence tell me that I be wasting time explaining anything to you.... cheers

I have to respectfully disagree.
I haven’t kept a flowerhorn before, but I have a male gt. And flowerhorns get bigger and are more aggressive then him from what I’ve seen and read here. Oscars also get bigger then my male will. But even he isn’t happy with 4’ of swimming room. So why plan on keeping an even bigger fish in a smaller space?
The fish will live, but it won’t be happy.

I respect your disagreement

Haha, no reason to be a jerk, was just asking a question on your opinion. Feel free to enlighten me, if you actually have any good reasons why they need height more than width/length.
