Help on how to ship piranha from east to midwest

yeah so me and dianoges is trying to ship his compressus to me but trying figure out best way to ship any advice??? i really want this fish too any ideas be lovely

yeah i have no idea. What do you do? How do you pack it etc. I want to maximize survivability. Also he's been known to bite through plastic bags so anything involving light plastic like that is out. Thanks.

i say you go to lfs that ships and ask them if they will ship for you

well if u get one those thick as ones and let it out to the wall of like a styrafoam container with enough oxygen in it i think we be good i mean it wont be full 24hrs hopefully... but you should talk to your LFS and see if any can help....like i said ill pay all fees just let me know...

Read THIS.
Try to locate a site vendor nearby or an LFS for professional shipping.
Piranhas can be shipped in perforated plastic boxes within a plastic bag - to prevent their teeth from hitting the bag.

Also when I recieved fish from George at SA he took a 1 litre soda bottle. Cut it in half, made slits down the sides, and put the fish inside the bottle and put the bottom half back on and cut holes all down the side.

So the fish cant the bag.

depends on the size of the fish, get some large plastic tupperware, drill holes all over it and put it in a large plastic bag filled with tank water. you can use couple layers just in case the bag poped by some unknown reasons. put in a styrofoam box and maybe some heat pack just to help keep the temperature up..probably not needed this time a year but you never know how cold the cargo plane gets because I'm sure they don't heat it like passenger planes do. ship over night of course.
you can check with your local FedEx or other freight carries to see if they have any guidelines.
for me I can just as AS to help me ship..but it's expensive.
the quote I got to ship a 6-7" rhom from NJ to where dankzville live is $82.
