help on large catfish

nine 10 inch fish in a 40 gal....?

how is it whenever someone has a big tank they are told to go bigger but no one says a word when there tiny tank is WAY overstocked.....

i have two 8 inch rtc in a 240 and all i ever hear is "bigger tank"

i can the water every day. i have 5 in a 40 gallon the other is in a 20 going to move them on thursday to a 180

Are you sure they are in 40 gallon tank ?? That's WAY TOO SMALL for all those fishes, and its overstocked.
If you are going to move them to a 180 gal, it is still not enough, speacilly for the arapaima.
AND, I wouldn't trade the rtc instead of the knife - I've made the inverse, sold my knifes and get 2 rtc.
