HELP! Open Wound on Stingray's Belly!

how long you had the fish? often these rays are tossed onto the floor when first caught and the belly gets infections when they first arrive.

I've had this ray since January. And ya, he seems to be doing fine. It looks a little less red than yesterday. I also noticed a small piece of stinger still in the wound while looking at him from below, so I removed it with a pair of tweezers and a lot of the inflammation went down very fast after that.

Well, the red seems to be almost completely gone, with just a little left around the black entry wound. He seems to be acting just fine and continues to eat greedily. I think he's going to make a full recovery.

while the eyes are still cloudy, they aren't as bad as before, and almost all the red is gone. The black spot remains however.

The red is completely gone and one eye has now cleared up. The other eye, while not completely clear is still much better than it was before. The black spot seems to be remaining however.

Glad she is doing alot better! The black spot can be her birthmark(very common on motoros). Almost all motoros seems to have this!

Looking at some older belly pics I think you are right. The black spot seems to have been there since I bought her. I can't believe I never realized that!
