I feel like most of the time people talk about bloat the poly is at the top of the tank or the tail is higher than the head.

I wonder if it had some weird fluke thing instead. ? CB ploys tend to have more of that going on so hopefully that was it?

Try not to beat yourself up.

i lost 2 albino senegal polys the same way too... 1 about 5 inch and another 6 inch

i also noticed while my endis grew very fast during this period, the albino senegals stopped growing...

at start all 4 were about 4-5 inches.... when the albinos died, the endies were already about 10" and 12" in size
 
Yeah, Endlis and Senegals are totally different fish, with different end sizes and growth rates. Which is why most people don't keep them together - the Sens can easily become Endli snacks. :/
