Okay so my 75 is either going to be my mota or Flowerhorn tank since I'm converting the 55 into a African tank. I'm torn between the two. Anyways you know the flowerhorn "luck" superstition? Well its really bugging me because I have been making VERY high grades, and even though I DONT believe it, a part of me wonders. And that's not all. I'm at unrest right now because right before I went to bed I stepped on a thumbtack with a number three on it. And three is supposed to be lucky. Lol

In all seriousness if you do have to choose, pick the one you like the most. If you prefer the FH keep that one. It's all about which fish you enjoy more.

I choose the Motaguense, I got 3 adult peacocks for my FH and so far so good. The coloration is spectacular
 
You can keep both divided for now and hopefully they can become a pair and always shine together for you. Because you have a male fh and a female tiger Mota.

And I've been keeping FHs for 10 years now. From monster heads to full row to double row to triple rows. All sorts of FHs.

The Luck thing is a made up and in your mind. Same like Jesus helping people. It's all in your mind.

I traded the FH for about $50 of peacock cichlids, I sent a picture of my mota to a breeder on YouTube and he says that its a male, but I think in the next inch it will be 100% to tell

If i had to choose, id go with the flowerhorn just because the coloration, but a motaguese is a very nice looking cichlid as well. When in doubt flip a coin
