What is the temp in your tank. Haits prefer high 80sF. (I kept my hait tank between 85-90'F)
Water temps in Hispaniola, where they are endemic are often in the 90sF

Was it previously in a community tank? Haits are not community fish.
Haits hate any tankmate they can't kill, and if they can't kill it/them, they succumb to stress related bloat.
This condition is usually brought on, when stress triggers normally benign bacteria become out of control and pathogenic.
Does your hospital tank have any places to hide? Haits are also very sensitive to outside activity stress, especially with that glass bottom, it should have somewhere to get out of sight.
